Yeast Infection Cure

The most commonly known yeast infection is that which a women gets in her vagina.  That is not the only kind of yeast infection, though.  Yeast is already present throughout your body and is perfectly normal.  However, conditions of moistness and heat can make the yeast grow rapidly and cause an infection.  There are yeast infections that can occur in anyone of any age.  There are also many treatments or yeast infection cure options.

People with weak immune systems are very susceptible to yeast infections.  Normal immune systems can usually fight off rapid yeast growth and keep infection away, but with a weak immune system the body is unable to do that.  A common yeast infection for people with weak immune systems is a yeast infection of the throat called esophagitis. It goes throughout the mouth, esophagus and stomach.  It can cause problems with food digestion and ulcers.

Yeast infections can also get into your bloodstream.  These types of infections are very harmful and can lead to damage in your brain or heart. It can have long term effects and in some cases even cause death.

Men can get genital yeast infections as well.  Most often this yeast infection is spread from a partner during sexual intercourse.  It causes the head of the penis to become painful and may develop blisters. There may also be discharge similar to what a woman experiences.  The only method of treating a male yeast infection is a prescription through the doctor.

Other types of yeast infections can occur in various areas of the body.  Thrush is a yeast infection that occurs in the mouth.  It can cause pain when eating or drinking.  It is most common in babies who are breastfeeding or using a bottle.  Yeast infections can also occur under the nail beds of fingers and toes or in the areas between fingers and toes.

The many types of yeast infections are all caused by good yeast that already exists on your body that starts to grow rapidly.  They can all be treated under a doctors care and most will be cured easily in one to two weeks.  You should always see your doctor if you think you have a yeast infection.
